My Way magazine
The My Way magazine has been produced by the Highways Agency as part of their work to support the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). It is packed with safety tips and journey planning advice for disabled drivers – including articles written by disabled drivers themselves and the disabled drivers’ charity Mobilise. Being prepared for journeys, thinking about what to do in case of a breakdown and surviving the hard shoulder are all covered in the magazine.
It also includes a feature on the variety of information signs drivers will now find on the motorway network – all designed to help give drivers safer and more reliable journeys. In addition, there is also a British Sign Language film to support the magazine and an emergency card to keep in your car for times of need.
