PAS 43 Database
There is often a requirement for the ‘purchaser’ of breakdown /recovery / removal services to ascertain if the road recovery operator(s) that they are considering using are in fact accredited to PAS 43 and hold a current certificate. It was therefore felt by the SURVIVE Group Executive that the establishment of a national database holding the relevant information and located on the SURVIVE Group website would be of great benefit to everyone concerned. The database is updated on a regular basis from the information provided by UKAS accredited Certification and Inspection Bodies and includes:-
- The trading name and address of the organisation
- Their PAS 43 certificate number
- The expiry date of their PAS 43 certificate.
The latest edition of PAS 43 (PAS 43:2012) contains the requirement for Certification and Inspection Bodies to publish and maintain a list of organisations holding a current certificate. The establishment of the SURVIVE PAS 43 database therefore enables them to meet this requirement. The SURVIVE Group has used best endeavours to ensure that the information contained within the PAS 43 database is both accurate and up to date and it is based on the information provided by UKAS accredited Certification and Inspection Bodies. It is recommended by the SURVIVE Group that all users of the database verify for themselves that an organisation listed is still accredited to PAS 43 and is in possession of a valid PAS 43 Certificate.
