Role of Working Group 2
(Standards)
This Working Group is responsible for overseeing the continued development of the national standard (PAS 43) to ensure that it reflects best practices as identified by Working Group 1 and published in the SURVIVE Best Practice Guidelines. Working Group 2 is also the BSI Steering Group for the development of PAS 43.

Key Issues being addressed by the Working Group
PAS 43 - The main focus of the work of Working Group 2 is the updating every two years of PAS 43 ("Safe working of vehicle breakdown recovery and removal operations - Management system specification"). The current edition, PAS 43:2015, was published in June 2015 and incorporates the revisions that were identified as being required to the previous edition.
